POSTPONED. RNSA Culdrose/Falmouth Formation Meeting

Air - 14 May 14 Meetings

POSTPONED DUE LACK OF RESPONSE. Meeting to consider creation of a fully fledged RNSA branch based around Culdrose

DUE TO THE LACK OF ANY RESPONSES, THIS MEETING HAS BEEN POSTPONED

The future of RNSA Air has been under debate for the past few years, with argument in favour of creating more regional footings. To that end, the sailors at Yeovilton are increasing their involvement with the Portland Branch, and the creation of a Branch based on Culdrose has been recommended by the RNSA Central Committee. The Naval Air Command Dinghy Championships are being held at the Culdrose Sailing Centre (next door to Trago Mills, 4-5 Jun. This gives an opportunity to hold a meeting to discuss a potential way ahead for Culdrose sailors and members of the Falmouth Cruising Group (who would form the bulk of such Branch membership). The meeting is intended to last no ore than an hour, starting at 1730; an agenda will be published in due course, but the aims would be to explain the background, outline a potential draft structure, confirm a name and - obviously - seek volunteers to form a committee. Nothing comes completely free! In order to confirm necessary arrangements with the Watersports Centre, it would be appreciated if anyone intending to attend could email me, Ian Fitter (ian.fitter@me.com) or Ian Munday (rnsafalmouth@gmail.com) by 20 May
